The Turquoise nuggets average 7/16” by 3/8” and the Turquoise nugget necklace measures 18 and 3/4” in length with a lobster clasp and a 3/8” diameter O-ring for easy clasping. All Turquoise necklaces are one-of-a-kind and hand-made in Cave Creek, Arizona in the desert foothills of northern Phoenix using stones from throughout the world.
Persians wore turquoise jewelry. They believed turquoise offered protection by changing color to warn of pending doom. The turquoise-jewelry commonly associated with Native Americans today originated in the 1880s, when a white trader convinced a Navajo craftsman to transform a silver coin into turquoise jewelry.
