Sterling Silver Turquoise Coral Onyx Kachina Pendant PO20

This Turquoise pendant is a stylized Hopi Corn-Maiden Kachina. She is solid sterling silver and delicately inlaid with genuine Turquoise, Red Coral, Sugalite, Charoite, Melon Shell, White Coral, and Onyx and measures 1 and 3/8" long. This Turquoise pendant includes an 18” sterling plated chain.

The lower Red Coral and Sugalite is the sash that she wears, and the middle colors represent the basket of corn that she carries.

In the greater context of Hopi tradition, Kachinas serve as supernatural messengers and spiritual guardians.
